What if you could take a certain number of hours, days, months or years - a number infused with significance beyond your current awareness - and have them hold the potential for lasting life-change? In the Bible, there is such a number:40.

The great flood involving Noah lasted 40 days. Moses spent 40 years in Egypt, 40 years in the Sinai desert, and then 40 years leading the people of Israel. He also spent 40 days on Mt. Sinai when he received the Ten Commandments. The prophet Elijah fasted for 40 days. Jesus spent 40 days fasting and praying in the wilderness facing temptation and preparing for His public ministry. And then, Jesus walked on earth for precisely 40 days following His resurrection before returning to heaven. What is up with 40? More than you might possibly imagine.
